Good morning! Today is Tuesday, June 11, 2025.

We have some exciting AI news today: Meta has launched V‑JEPA 2, a sophisticated world‑model that empowers AI agents to comprehend the physical world, and Nvidia's Jensen Huang confirmed that quantum computing is reaching a pivotal inflection point.

1. Meta Unveils V-JEPA 2, an AI That Understands the Physical World

Meta has launched V-JEPA 2, a powerful AI model designed to help robots and digital agents understand how the world works. Trained on over 1 million hours of video, the model enables AI to make real-world predictions, like how gravity affects objects or what action should come next in a task. For example, it can anticipate that a spatula might be used to transfer eggs to a plate. Meta says V-JEPA 2 is 30 times faster than Nvidia’s Cosmos and could pave the way for smarter home robots that need less training data.

2. Nvidia to Build First Industrial AI Cloud in Germany, Plans 20 AI Factories Across Europe

Nvidia is launching its first industrial AI cloud platform in Germany to help major manufacturers like BMW and Mercedes-Benz with everything from product design simulations to logistics. CEO Jensen Huang announced the initiative at VivaTech in Paris, along with plans to open 20 AI factories across Europe and expand Nvidia’s tech footprint in seven countries. The company is also teaming up with Mistral to power European businesses with AI running on 18,000 Nvidia chips. Huang says Europe is waking up to the urgency of AI infrastructure and predicts a 10x increase in AI computing capacity on the continent within two years.

3. The Browser Company Launches AI Browser 'Dia' in Private Beta

The Browser Company has officially launched Dia, its new AI-powered browser, in a private beta for Arc members. Built to be “the most personal AI on the market,” Dia lets you chat with your tabs, ask questions about content, compare sites, and even generate documents in the tone of the webpage you're on. Everything runs inside the URL bar, so there's no need to switch to tools like ChatGPT. With deep customization options and learning capabilities, Dia aims to redefine browsing before Google’s Gemini and Opera’s Neon hit the market.

4. Wikipedia Halts AI Summary Test After Backlash From Editors

Wikipedia has paused its pilot program testing AI-generated article summaries after receiving swift criticism from its editor community. The summaries, labeled “unverified” and shown to users with a browser extension, sparked concern over accuracy and potential damage to the platform’s credibility. Editors flagged the risk of AI errors, known as hallucinations, which have caused issues for other outlets like Bloomberg. While the test is on hold, Wikipedia says it remains open to exploring AI tools for improving accessibility in the future.

5. Meta Unveils Wild New AI Video Editor That Can Instantly Transform Your Look and Location

Meta has launched a mind-bending AI video editor that lets users instantly change their clothing, surroundings, and style using over 50 preset effects. Inspired by its Movie Gen tech, the tool can turn people into comic book characters, marble statues, or place them in surreal dreamscapes with just a few taps. While custom prompts aren’t available yet, they’re coming later this year. The editor is now live on the Meta AI app, Meta.AI website, and Edits app, and will roll out to Instagram soon.

6. Amazon Reveals 3 New AI Upgrades to Deliver Packages Faster and Smarter

Amazon just unveiled three major AI breakthroughs to speed up deliveries and improve logistics. First, its new "Wellspring" system uses generative AI to guide drivers with pinpoint accuracy to mailrooms, entrances, and apartment units. Second, an upgraded AI model now predicts product demand with greater precision by analyzing weather, holidays, and regional trends. And third, Amazon is building agentic AI into its warehouse robots, allowing them to follow spoken commands and perform complex tasks independently. The result is faster shipping, smarter robots, and better service for customers and employees alike.
