Good morning! Today is Wednesday, May 28, 2025.

We have some exciting AI news today: Meta is reorganizing its AI divisions to expedite product innovation, and TSMC is establishing a new chip design center in Munich to bolster Europe's tech landscape.

1. Meta Splits AI Team to Speed Up Product Development and Llama Model Progress

Meta is reorganising its AI division into two focused teams to move faster in the AI race. One team will build consumer-facing AI tools for apps like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and its new standalone AI assistant. The other, called AGI Foundations, will concentrate on advancing its core Llama models. With no reported job cuts, the split aims to sharpen Meta's competitive edge against OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic, while supporting its push to power startups with Llama-based AI tools.

2. TSMC to Open Munich Chip Design Center, Aiming to Boost Europe’s AI Ambitions

TSMC is opening a new chip design center in Munich later this year, aiming to help European companies build high-performance, energy-efficient chips for industries like automotive, IoT, and eventually AI. The center could play a key role in Europe’s push to catch up in the global AI race. This move aligns with TSMC’s larger €10 billion chip factory project in Dresden and brings the chip giant closer to major partners like Apple, which is already heavily invested in the region.

3. NVIDIA Unveils RTX PRO Servers to Power the AI Factories of the Future

NVIDIA has launched its new RTX PRO Servers, built on the powerful Blackwell architecture, to help enterprises shift from traditional data centers to AI-powered “factories.” These servers are designed to accelerate everything from generative AI to robotics and engineering simulations. With backing from major partners like Dell, HPE, Lenovo, and Foxconn, NVIDIA’s new full-stack solution includes high-performance GPUs, networking, and AI software to create scalable, on-premises AI infrastructure. CEO Jensen Huang says the goal is to help every company automate operations and build AI-native products.

The key to a $1.3T opportunity

A new real estate trend called co-ownership is revolutionizing a $1.3T market. Leading it? Pacaso. Led by former Zillow execs, they already have $110M+ in gross profits with 41% growth last year. They even reserved the Nasdaq ticker PCSO. But the real opportunity’s now. Until 5/29, you can invest for just $2.80/share.

This is a paid advertisement for Pacaso’s Regulation A offering. Please read the offering circular at invest.pacaso.com. Reserving a ticker symbol is not a guarantee that the company will go public. Listing on the NASDAQ is subject to approvals. Under Regulation A+, a company has the ability to change its share price by up to 20%, without requalifying the offering with the SEC.

4. OnePlus Unveils India-Only Phone, But Its Smartest AI Features Are Going Global

OnePlus just launched the compact 13S in India, but the phone’s standout AI feature, Plus Mind, is coming to the rest of the OnePlus 13 series worldwide. Plus Mind lets users save key info like appointments, events, or reservations with just a tap or swipe, then organizes it automatically and makes it easy to retrieve. It’s part of a broader push by OnePlus to embed more AI into its phones, including new tools for translation, photo editing, and call summaries. While some features remain India-exclusive for now, more global rollouts are planned later this year.

5. Leaked Prompts Reveal How Anthropic Controls Claude’s Tone, Content, and Behavior

New analysis by AI researcher Simon Willison sheds light on the hidden system prompts behind Anthropic’s Claude 4, revealing how the company shapes its chatbot’s responses. The prompts instruct Claude to avoid flattery, limit list-making, and steer clear of copyrighted content like song lyrics. They also guide Claude to offer emotional support without promoting harmful behavior. While Anthropic shares partial prompts publicly, Willison used prompt injection techniques to uncover the full internal rules. His findings highlight how system prompts act as behind-the-scenes guardrails and call for greater transparency from AI companies.

6. Salesforce to Buy Informatica for $8 Billion to Power Its AI Ambitions

Salesforce is acquiring data-management giant Informatica in an $8 billion deal aimed at strengthening its push into agentic AI. The move is designed to boost adoption of Agentforce, Salesforce's AI product that helps automate tasks with decision-making capabilities. Informatica brings tools for data integration, governance, and privacy, which Salesforce says will help create a unified AI architecture. While some investors are wary of more mergers, analysts believe this deal fits well with Salesforce’s growing focus on AI and data.
